| Fair Trade Shop Now Open |
Our brand new Centre for Human Rights and Social Justice is now open in Warrnambool city and offers a shopfront for fair trade products from Australia and around the world.
Most of the products come from 'social trading' communities who have a strong 'human rights' philosophy. Purchasing these beautiful items will help impoverished women and children to make a better life for themselves. For example, we stock Blessed Life products. Blessed Life works with disabled Nepalese women to help them to achieve independence and to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. We also stock Carpets for Communities products. This group offers immediate intervention to give at-risk children an education by empowering their mothers to produce eco fair trade products which sell globally. Please come in to see these lovely and useful items. We are also selling our very own Indigenous First Discovery Books, illustrated by local Aboriginal artist Debbie Austin and published by Discovery Press through Community Connections. EFTPOS is available. Address: 79 Liebig St, Warrnambool. Call: 1300 361 680 |
