Community
Visitors Scheme
The
Community Visitors
Scheme aims to
enhance the rights
of older people
living in residential
aged
care facilities.
The community
visitor befriends
residents of
nursing
homes who are
considered to
be
lonely and who
would like their
own special visitor.
Ante
& Post
Natal Family
Support Program
Community
Connections offers
a free and confidential
family support
& Counselling
service to women
and their families
before and after
delivery of
a new baby.
Staff also offer
additional support
to women who
may have, or
be at risk of
developing,
ante natal or
post natal depression.
Services
include in-home
family support
and counselling.
Family
Support Innovation
Project
New
funding from
DHS will provide
case management
to families
with more complex
needs.
Multicultural
Development Unit
In
2005/2006 the
agency has received
funding from
the
Department of
Immigration,
Multiculture
and Indigenous
Affairs to assist
the resettlement
of migrants
to the Warrnambool
district.
