Child FIRST

Making children the first priority

Child FIRST is a community-based information, intake and referral service that is a single ballroom_at_child_level_mediumentry-point into Family Services across South West Victoria. The program operates in partnership with several other Family Services providers so that together we can offer the best quality service for Child FIRST clients.

Child FIRST is a comprehensive program that provides a combination of:

Family Counselling

Parenting Education

Household Management Skills

Case Management / Case Work

Reading Support (via early intervention literacy programs for young children)

Parenting and Child Development Group Education

Where necessary, we also provide:

•interim support for children, youths and families when a case manager or worker is not available in the short-term 

•short-term intervention

•community education
