Household Management Skills

Bringing back the order and calm

All parents and carers can feel overwhelmed by managing the family and maintaining the cooking and housework. When a family is experiencing extra pressure - such as disability, conflict, legal or financial issues, or depression - this feeling can be exacerbated and it can become difficult to cope.

Community Connections Family Services offers education and support in Household Management Skills, to help clients develop or rebuild the skills and the confidence they need to keep their household running well. This includes tips, hints and strategies for getting back on trackand for maintaining their tactics during difficult times.

Education and support in Household Management Skills is usually offered as part of the fully case-managed Child FIRST program, but our Family Services team can refer clients separately where appropriate.
