Helping children to achieve Children who are confident learners are more likely to reach their potential and be productive members of society. Community Connections offers a range of education support activities for children and young people to help them with learning or homework.
Our main programs are: Reading Discovery A program to engage young children in reading and to assist parents and carers to maximise their capabilities to teach and encourage their child. More information is available on this website under Early Childhood Education, or by visiting www.readingdiscovery.com.au Parenting and Child Development Group Education A parenting education program which focuses on how parents and carers can positively influence the development and growth of their children. To help them grow into independent well-balanced people, children need the encouragement and guidance of their parents and carers. These group education sessions provide information and promote strategies for helping children to achieve their potential. For more information or to make an appointment, contact Family Services on 1300 361 680. The Resource Library by the Multicultural Development Unit A collection of educational materials are available for loan from the MDU.
